Open application for a doctoral candidate in Management
The doctoral candidate position is available in VILNIUS TECH, Faculty of Business Management Department of Business Technologies and Entrepreneurship. Applicants interested in other research topics related to organizational behaviour, twin transition and change management, are also welcome to apply.

Research topic description
Working under new conditions of ICT development, remote work and the latest business management trends causes certain challenges and new conflicts within an organization. There is a direct link between the changes in technologies, business environment societal changes and business management theories. Existing models applied in change management do not meet current requirements and can determine the decrease of competitive ability for the business organizations. The relations between various factors causing changes and business in the development processes must be determined to avoid gaps in business management methods in the future. Digital transformation and the use of artificial intelligence (AI) becoming an integral part of the wide spectrum of business management processes, so it is important to evaluate and consider this while proposing new scientific management approaches. These circumstances frame the topicality of this subject.

The selected candidate will work on the PhD thesis under the supervision of Prof. Dr Vida Davidavičienė. The successful applicant will have to attend scientific conferences, meetings and internships at the other universities

• Required background: management, administration, economic
• Expected skills and knowledge: analytical, quantitative and qualitative research method use, systematic thinking

It is a prerequisite you can be present at and accessible to the institution daily.

Programme structure

The PhD programme consists of:
· Independent research under supervision;
· Courses for PhD students (approximately 30 ECTS credits);
· Participation in research networks, including placements at other, primarily foreign, research institutions;
· Teaching or another form of knowledge dissemination, which is related to the PhD topic when possible;
· The completion of a PhD thesis.
